Clear agreement on what should be removed
A house clearance may follow a move, prepare a property for sale or deal with contents that have built up over time. Whatever the reason, you should not have to worry that something important will be taken by mistake. We identify the rooms, furniture and household contents included before we quote and schedule the job. Keep documents, valuables, photographs and possessions that must remain in a clearly separate place. If the property contains a loft, garage, shed or other outbuilding, show us those areas during the assessment. This gives us a realistic view of the volume and any bulky objects involved.

Access and larger items planned in advance
Parking, stairs and long carrying routes can change how a clearance needs to be organised. We ask about access and inspect larger objects so we can select a suitable vehicle and workforce. Please identify any item that is fixed, unusually heavy or difficult to remove through its current route. The written quote reflects the agreed clearance scope, helping everyone understand what is included. If you're also downsizing or moving selected belongings elsewhere, we can separate those possessions from the clearance inventory and discuss the removal, packing or storage arrangements needed for them.
Frequently asked questions
How should I mark items that must stay?
Move them to a clearly separate area where possible and tell us about them during the assessment. Important documents, valuables and personal keepsakes should be removed from the clearance area.
Do I need to show you the loft and garage?
Yes, if their contents are included. Seeing lofts, garages, sheds and outbuildings helps us assess the true volume, access route and any large items before preparing the written quote.
Can a clearance be arranged alongside a move?
We can discuss moving selected belongings while clearing other agreed contents. The two item lists must stay clear, especially if possessions are going to your new home or into arranged storage.
